Each of our thoughtfully designed tutoring programs is created with your child in mind. We tailor each experience to meet their individual needs, goals, strengths, and interests, creating a learning environment where children feel supported, capable, and excited to learn.
At Purposeful Play, we believe children learn best when they are actively engaged, curious, and having fun. Play and exploration are at the heart of everything we do. Through hands-on, meaningful experiences, we weave together academic skill-building with the whole child. Our sessions may incorporate sensory play, art, movement, emotional regulation and coping skills, executive functioning, and foundational literacy skills such as phonological awareness.
By combining purposeful instruction with opportunities to play, create, explore, and connect, we help children build important skills while also developing confidence, independence, and a positive relationship with learning. Every activity has a purpose—and every child has a place to grow.

Our one-on-one tutoring sessions are designed around your child’s unique strengths, needs, and learning goals. Through engaging, hands-on activities and individualized instruction, we build skills while helping children feel confident and successful as learners. Whether your child needs support with early literacy, reading, phonological awareness, handwriting, executive functioning, or other foundational skills, each session is thoughtfully planned to meet them right where they are—and help them grow from there!
Our Executive Functioning Small Group gives children the opportunity to strengthen the skills they use every day—like focus, memory, self-control, flexible thinking, planning, organization, and problem-solving. Through hands-on games, movement, imaginative play, and engaging challenges, children will practice these skills in a fun, supportive environment. At Purposeful Play, we believe children learn best when they’re having fun, so every activity is designed to make learning feel like play while helping children grow in confidence, independence, and readiness for school and beyond!
Our Phonological Awareness Small Group helps children develop the essential sound skills that lay the foundation for reading success. Through games, movement, songs, stories, and playful activities, children will practice skills such as rhyming, syllables, identifying beginning and ending sounds, blending, segmenting, and manipulating sounds in words. Small-group learning gives children plenty of opportunities to practice, participate, and build confidence—all while having fun!
